Modernising a Legacy Brand's Digital Presence
Rebuilding a 30 year old sound and event management company's website from the ground up, untouched since 2018, reimagined in under two weeks.

Project Overview
NJSM Sound & Event Management, a 30 year established sound production and events company, had not updated its website since 2018. I led the end to end redesign, from visual identity to launch, using AI assisted design tools, with the goal of reflecting the brand's current standing and industry credibility online. The finished site now lives at njsmpro.com.
Objective
To modernise the website's design and functionality, ensure full mobile responsiveness, and bring brand consistency across every page, while keeping the owner and internal team aligned throughout.
Challenge
- 01Website hadn't been updated since 2018, out of step with 30 years of brand credibility
- 02High stakes revamp for the owner, with limited internal marketing bandwidth to guide the process
- 03Review and sign off delayed by stakeholder availability, compressing the final timeline
Insight
For a brand that has run on word of mouth for three decades, the website needed to finally match the trust the company had already earned: fast, modern, and unmistakably on brand.
Strategy
- 01Used ChatGPT and Claude to refine how I briefed Lovable AI, learning to prompt each tool differently for accurate output
- 02Anchored every design decision, colour, layout, typography, to the brand's existing logo and visual identity
- 03Ran structured Google Meet check ins with the owner and internal team to align on progress and feedback
- 04Partnered with web developer friends to QA front end and back end functionality ahead of launch
Execution
- 01Designed and built the full site in Lovable AI within 5 days
- 02Coordinated iterative review rounds with the owner and team between July 20 to 24
- 03Registered and connected the njsmpro.com domain
- 04Rechecked performance and code stability with AI tools and developer friends before going live
Outcome
Delivered in roughly a week, well ahead of the two week estimate given at the outset. The site now loads in under a second, and the owner described the transformation as a complete turnaround from the old site. Live now at njsmpro.com.

Key Takeaway
"A dated website doesn't have to mean a dated brand, just a fresh coat of trust."
